Coaching is a compassion based service that helps and empowers the client to use their own internal skillset to achieve goals, whilst managing and overcoming obstacles such as anxiety, mindset, lack of confidence, clarity. These goals can be short term or long term - even clearing your home can be a goal!
Other examples are:
Working out what you want to do in life
Finding purpose
Making friends
Improving your self esteem
Increasing your assertiveness
Stepping outside your comfort zone
Coaching is not therapy or counselling. Therapy works on past events and often involves dealing with trauma and depression.
To put it very simply, coaching deals with the future whilst counselling deals with the past. Think of coaching as the bridge from point A to point B.
How my sessions work:
Sessions are normally 1 hour and done remotely via Google Meet video call. They are confidential (unless there are safeguarding concerns) and I use a compassionate, non-judgement approach where you are in control of the content. I do not give advice as the power and results of coaching come from you.
